Healthy-ish Cocktails You Can Make With the Last of Summer Produce

As summer comes to an end, we’re enjoying the last bit of its fruitful bounty, never leaving a farmer’s market without lugging away a perfectly ripe watermelon or a bunch of sweet berries. (Hot tip: if you’re not super confident about your ability to seek out the ripest melon at a farmer’s market, just ask the stand owner. Farmers are usually more than happy to help you out.) To provide inspiration for what to do with the last of your summer fruit, we teamed up with Owl’s Brew, makers of tea-based mixers, to bring you two refreshing cocktail recipes. Not only do these have fruit, they’re made with antioxidant-rich tea and are sweetened with just a hint of agave—so excuse us, while we have another.

Bramble Brew
2 oz. Owl’s Brew Pink & Black
1 oz. Tequila
Rasberries and strawberries
Mint leaves

Muddle fresh raspberries and strawberries. Shake and pour over ice. Garnish with fresh mint.

Watermelon Palmer
1.5oz Prairie Organic Cucumber Vodka
.5oz Lime Juice
1oz Owl’s Brew White and Vine
Mint leaves

Muddle watermelon and mint leaves in a shaker, add liquids. Shake over ice, double strain, and top with a splash of sparkling water. Garnish with speared watermelon cubes and fresh mint.
