Instagram is often given a bad rap for presenting unrealistically perfect versions of people’s lives. And we agree—it’s hard to scroll through your feed sometimes and not feel like everyone you know is leading a more beautiful and exciting life than you. However, for every perfectly-curated feed, there’s a motivational and confidence-building one that sends out nothing but love and positivity into the universe. Here are some of our favorite good-vibe accounts to bring some encouragement to whatever part of your life could use a little TLC.
For yoga and breathing
Many of the answers we are seeking come to us in the stillness of the present moment. Undistracted and focused, we are able to connect and channel to a higher, clearer way of thinking; One that can’t be heard if we are too preoccupied. #LettersbyLamise ✨🙏🏼✨ #theanswersarewithin #bestillandlisten #toestand #angkorwat #angkorwattemple #siemreap #cambodia #siemreapcambodia #backpackingasia #backpackerstory #backpackerlife #poetryofig #poetrygram #yogaart #poetryinmotion In my favorite, everyday white tee by @aloyoga #aloyoga

🤗 Exercises for core and shoulders! Wearing @womensbest #womensbest These two exercises are PERFECT for building a strong core and strength in your shoulders for fun things like handstands or handstand press (yet to be able to do that funky trick 🙈) the second exercise is also a great way to practice the splits 🤸🏽♀️ which is also a great party trick 😝 🤸🏽♀️The first exercise ideally use two yoga blocks or if like me you don’t have them stack some books up to the same height. If you have wooden floors you can use a towel under your feet too. As you inhale lift up and out of your shoulders (don’t let them rise up to your ears) and engage your core to help lift you up, at first you may choose to lift one foot up then the other then both! With practice and patience I promise you will be able to lift them both off 💪 🤸🏽♀️ The second exercise try and keep your hips square to the front, as you inhale lift up out of your shoulders and pike your hips up, have the thought that somebody is lifting you straight up by your hips (I find that helps) and keep your thighs and inner thighs engaged the whole time 💪 As you exhale lower down but stay lifted out of your shoulders (don’t let them come up to your ears) Give these two exercises a go, but listen to your body and don’t force anything 🤗❤️x

For dreaming of travel
Before every solo trip, I get a tiny bit nervous. Each one is different than the last so there is no knowing what to expect. Anything can happen, and that’s quite scary. On the other hand, it’s quite empowering. So I go anyway, every time. It’s only a matter of time before I’m reminded why I do it and why I love it. I think I’ll dedicate this next week to talking about solo travel & answering your questions on the blog, my twitter, and here. How does that sound? If you have any questions or fears, drop them below! . . . . And, don’t forget…For every unretouched swim photo YOU share with #AerieREAL, @Aerie will donate $1 (up to $25K) to @NEDA, a non-profit that supports those affected by eating disorders. Love the swim you’re in! #AeriePartner . #ridingsolo
