…the Greenwich Grind, that is. This coffee + cocktail restaurant in London gives guests plenty of reason to stay and linger because it has everything you could ask for in a restaurant: food, coffee, cocktails, design and music. The interior, designed by Melbourne-based design studio Biasol, is fun yet elegant with a vibe that reminds guests not to take themselves too seriously; the restaurant sure doesn’t.
The Greenwich Grind is divided into three spaces: a deli/takeaway, a cocktail bar, and a dining room. The first is defined by the Grind’s signature pink on the walls and ceiling.
The cocktail bar, named the Green Room, is full of deep turquoise hues that provide a rich backdrop for the grey stools, contemporary fixtures, and patterned tile flooring. At the front of the restaurant, pale pink banquettes wrap around the restaurant for additional seating. A pink neon sign casts a soft glow, highlighting the raw textures of the concrete-render walls.
Finally, the main dining room is housed under a glass atrium room and opens up to an alfresco dining area. An abundance of greenery adds to the greenhouse-like effect of the space, a nod to Greenwich’s lush neighborhood.
Visit the Greenwich Grind at 17-19 Nelson Rd, East Greenwich, London SE10 9JB, UK.
