The fun is heating up in Borrego Springs, CA. In this friendly town near stunning natural attractions, like the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park and Joshua Tree, there’s a secret oasis. It has breathtaking views of San Ysidro Mountains, a cozy pool, and four sleek tennis courts—all nestled on five beautiful acres.
This place: The Courts.
In addition to the pool and tennis courts, you’ll discover a beautiful clubhouse on the property. It’s a contemporary reimagination of the classic tennis clubhouse. Built back in the 1970s, it sports vaulted ceilings and an adobe fireplace, giving the space historic character. But, it also has modern amenities, such as a coffee bar, reading room, and shop. The current owners wanted to preserve and build upon its history and tradition.
When the space originally opened in the ‘70s, the owner held weekend tournaments at the courts. Those attending would camp out in RVs. Today, visitors can stay on the property in a retro blue camper. It’s located in the backyard behind the tennis courts, meaning guests can enjoy the views and close proximity to all that The Courts offer.
At The Courts you’ll find everything you need to play and practice: a ball machine, a backboard, and even lessons to level up your game. And, around the pool—which is open throughout the year—there are fire pits and a grill. It’s all you could ask for in a rejuvenating getaway.
The surrounding area also offers exquisite sights, which you can see from The Courts. So, after you finish your morning hike, you can relax in the pool and still enjoy views of Anza-Borrego Desert State Park.
